Friends United Cricket Club Won by 30 runs

Match report Friends United CC made a come back from almost lost position to record a very important victory in their game against Kingsbury Construction.

Friends United skipper lost his second successive home toss and Kingsbury decided to field first.

Friends United opening pair start very cautiously as only 4 runs came in first 4 overs but then Ramesh Magan hit Vipul for an massive straight 6 to up the run rate but then Nirmal gave his wicket away to an wide delivery from Arvind and then number 3 Jigar got an excellent in swing ball from Arvind to make score at 21/2. Then Dilesh Narotam and Ramesh Magan had good 51 runs partnership to take score to 72/2 in 19th over but then Ramesh lost his wicket trying to hit Prakash out of the park and next batsman Sudhir lost his wicket straight after. Dilesh on 24 runs then got a straight ball to be adjusted LBW. Captain Piyush hit 2 good shots to score 12 runs from 20 balls but then played wrong line to loose his wickets. Some important runs from lower order meant Friends United CC finished on 114 all out in 33 overs.

After break Friends United skipper decided to go on full attack to defend the low score and it paid dividend as in first over Kalpesh got run out by Ramesh with excellent throw from boundary. Ramji and Ramesh Magan bowled an super spell of fast bowling as Parkash and batsman kept missing and were very lucky to stay on the pitch. One important fielding change and some smart bowling by Ramji bought him 2 wickets. Jagdish came in and hit quick fire 21 runs but excellent bowling by Ramji meant he lost his wicket soon. Ramesh bowled an superb figure of 6 overs 2 maidens and 9 runs only.

Then Dinesh took over and bowled superb line and length to knock of 4 of the Kingsbury wickets as they reached 68/9 but then some good batting by Vinod Bhanderi and Vipul Vora meant they target kept reducing all the time. Nilesh Lacmane bowled an superb spell and then a smart run out by him and Nirmal meant Friends United finished off Kingsbury inning on 84 and won the game by 30 runs.
